Steve Jobs Famous Quotes

Rita

Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.

Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected.

You know, we don't grow most of the food we eat. We wear clothes other people make. We speak a language that other people developed. We use a mathematics that other people evolved... I mean, we're constantly taking things. It's a wonderful, ecstatic feeling to create something that puts it back in the pool of human experience and knowledge.

If we'd given customers what they said they wanted, we'd have built a computer they'd have been happy with a year after we spoke to them—not something they'd want now.

I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what's next.

innovation (n.) 創新 constantly (adv.)

yardstick (n.)

excellence (n.)

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.

[...] have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.

courage (n.)

intuition (n.) 直覺 naked (a.)

avoid (v.)

5. Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me ... Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful... that's what matters to me.

6. The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.

9. Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is better than two doubles.
